Why I’m Excited About WDC’s Builder Division

After fifteen years in retail, you get a feel for where the gaps are.

In my old world, we did a lot of things really well for everyday customers. But there was always this nagging space where builders, developers, and trade pros didn’t quite get the experience they deserved, specifically in when it comes to major appliances. Big projects, tight timelines, complex specs… and a process that often felt like it was held together with duct tape and good intentions.  Most deals went ok, but I always felt like the process could be improved on.

Stepping into my new role with WDC Kitchen & Bath, one of the first things that hit me was: “Oh. This is what it looks like when the infrastructure is actually built for these folks.”

The Business / Builder Division here isn’t an afterthought. It’s a real, intentional engine:

– Clear processes instead of one-off workarounds

– A team that speaks the language of builders, contractors, and designers; the real professionals that make this industry go

– Pricing and programs that make sense at scale, not just for a single fridge or range

In my first few days, I watched how smoothly projects moved from idea to quote to execution. Not perfectly—nothing ever is—but with a level of professionalism and structure that makes life easier for everyone involved. It felt less like “let’s see how we can make this work” and more like “this is what we’re built to do.”

That’s honestly what excites me the most about this next chapter.

I get to take what I’ve learned working inside people’s homes and combine it with a system that’s actually designed for builders, developers, contractors, designers, and other trade professionals. My job is simple: help them get a clean, straightforward process at a competitive price, so they can focus on their projects instead of fighting their supply chain.

New company, new role, same core belief: when you respect people’s time, listen to what they really need, and build the right structure around that, everybody wins.

I’m looking forward to seeing what we can build together from here.
